If 4g cell phone jammers are installed in an outdoor environment, it’s needed to do waterproof and lightning protection. Generally, it’s recommended to choose the special installation box for the 4g cell phone jammer.

When cell phone signal jammers (together with mounting box) are for outdoor installation, for example, installed on the external walls of buildings, we should be sure to do lightning prevention and protection measures. In particular, we should pay attention to the thunderstorm-prone areas!
Actually, lightning protection measures is to install lightning rod on the signal jammer. If nowhere to buy ready-made lightning rod, we can make the lightning rod by ourselves. Practices are as follows:
We need to choose 3-4 root 50cm length steel needles of 5-10mm diameter. One end of them should be grinded sharp to a needle, the other end be welded together to “Y” shaped. End of the welding be linked to the ground by iron wire of 2-3mm diameter (iron wire be protected by PVC tube). Ground end of the iron wire be connected to the deep in ground iron stripe (length 50-100cm x width 2-5cm). If it’s difficult to find iron stripe, 10mm steel instead.
Lightning rod is installed on the top of the cell phone signal jammer by 30-50cm position. There is no touch between lightning rod (including iron wire connected to ground) and 4g cell phone jammer or install box. Properly intervals should be maintained.
